I am rally sorry that I have missed the words "it is eaten". Please forget the earlier ID I have suggested. Info found in the net that one edible species is Acmella oleracea. But I cannot say if it can be that one.

Was the stem decumbent?

Acmella paniculata (Wall. ex DC.) R.K.Jansen is also possible as per keys at Acmella
