Please help with the ID of this Berberis with spiny leaves and purple berries, photographed from Chopta Mandal Road in Uttarakhand in June.

Thanks Saroj ji for sharing excellent paper
Two things don't support B. kumaonensis
1. Flowers are in clusters not solitary
2. Berries are not known in the species, but they are clearly seen in my specimens with clear style.
