Seems to be from Hibiscus fam, as the flowers & leaves are similar.

Hello
This is similar to Hibiscus hirtus in marathi called Dupari. I had seen this plant on way to Sinhagad. Some leaves were linear and some were like this three lobed on the same plant.

Here is a link for Hibiscus hirtus with a picture: http://flickr.com/photos/91314344@N00/2059527507, though I am doubtful about the species. Let the experts chip in.

the sps name might have come from hairy seeds, hirtus ha sto something with hairy,
hence sps name might be correct. we can see the hairy seeds in photo very clearly

On further scrutiny, it appears to be Hibiscus lobatus (Lahan Jaswand). See another Indiantreepix thread on the same plant:http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix/browse_thread/thread/3766a1ac68022ad2/e370360812adc015?lnk=gst&q=Plant+for+ID+18#e370360812adc015
