in iNaturalistFirst thought was that it looked like
S. jeyporensis, however that is restricted to northern-central parts of the Eastern Ghats. So looked at the broader
S. kunthiana complex that this falls under. This publication describes the
S. jeyporensis-cuspidata-carnatica complex within the Kunthiana group. Your observation could be closer to
S. carnatica, though not all details line up.

Your plant is quite interesting. I could not go closer than S. jeyporensis. However, I see some differences from S. jeyporensis as well which needs confirmation.
Until the ID gets resolved, I will label the observation as Strobilanthes cf. jeyporensis.
