Prosopis variety

Would it be possible to identify the variety of Prosopis from the pictures attached? It’s a very small plant. So no flowers or seeds yet.

A nursery near Hosur was selling this as Banni/ Shami sapling.

In all probabilities it is Prosopis cineraria.  Common name: Khejri Tree • Gujarati: Semi • Hindi: Jand जंड, Khejri खेजड़ी Khejri • Kannada: Perumbai .    It is  the state tree of Rajasthan .   This is called  'vanni maram' in Tamil Nadu. It is a sacred tree for them.    Many people mistakenly say banni in other regions..  The correct  Banni mara for Karnataka people is Acacia ferruginea (the shami vriksha) a branch of which used to be cut  by the erstwhile Mysore  after Dasara procession on  Vjaya Dasami day , as  a sign of victory.
