Thanks, Vijayasankar ji,
As per the following links, this species does not exist in India:

The Sida cuneifolia-Complex (Malvaceae) in Africa - Jstor (Description & Keys- Sida maasaica,Sida schimperiana, Sida shinynagensis, Sida tanaensis & Sida tenuicarpa) (By Kaj Vollesen 1986- Abstract- The Sida cuneifolia-complex-usually considered to consist of a single widespread species only-is shown to consist of six distinct species: S. cuneifolia Roxb. endemic to India and five species in Africa. Four of the African species are without validly published names and are described here: S. massaica, S. tanaensis, S. shinyangensis and S. tenuicarpa.)

Malvaceae of Southern Peninsular India: A Taxonomic Monograph By V. V. Sivarajan, A. K. Pradeep (1996)

I hope these are the latest literatures & my understanding is correct.

Pl. confirm.

Thanks Garg ji for the research and links. The species DOES occur in India and Sida schimperiana is a well-established name and has been used in several Indian Floras including and not limited to:

Fl. Brit. India 1: 322. 1874;
Fl. Pres. Madras 1: 90(64). 1915;
Fl. Tamil Nadu 1: 37. 1983;
Fl. Tamilnadu Carnatic 1: 131.1983;
Fl. India 3: 292. 1993.

Synonyms of this species, as per the above literature, are:
Sida cuneifolia Roxb.,
Riedleia truncata W. & A.
Dictyocarpus truncatus Wight
Melochia truncata
Hermannia alnifolia Wall.

While this name is not resolved and recognized by TPL and GRIN, respectively, Tropicos and eol have accepted this name. I don't currently have access to the 1996 monograph mentioned by you.

Regards

Vijay

Sida cuneifolia Roxb.is a synonym of Melochia corchorifolia L. as per The Plant List.
I think it may not be correct in view of papers as stated above.
