Please ID wild tree, kind regards, Sam.

Location: Eravikulam Rajamalai Munnar Idukki Kerala INDIA

Altitude: 4500fsl

Flower date: 13MAY2023, 03.35pm

Habitat: wild moisture rocky misty sloppy grassland windy alpine

Plant habit: tree, erect branches, hard woody cylindrical stem 20 inches base circumference, rough brownish flaky bark, tomentosed

Height: 03 meters

Leaves: opposite elliptic acute simple glossy ventral side tomentose, size upto: 08×5cm

Flower: terminally/axillary buds, 05 petals, 05 sepals, diameter:03cm, whitish pink, good fragrant

Fruit: berry green into brown globular tomentose

Seed:

I think only sp. is found in In dia Rhodomyrtus tomentosa var. parviflora (Alston) A. J. Scott.

Not sure about Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk. though some databases show

its distribution.
