Ok Saroj ji.
Good population here, above 50 plants at that time only spotted in my property in between banana cultivation.  Or having any genetic issues?
Kind regards, Sam.

This is interesting, I never saw such floral abnormality in Commelinaceae. Thank you Sam ji for sharing. The plant is apparently Murdannia pauciflora, and flowers that are extremely abnormal can be called homeosis. But more interesting is that the entire individual has such weird flowers!

By any chance you are visiting the place again please do observe the capsules and seeds. If the plants still exist, it is really fascinating to understand the anomalies.

All best,
Mayur

Dear Mayur ji,

Thank you very much for your response.

This plant was growing near my house.  At first, I thought it was M. pauciflora, same as you said. It is because just before some weeks, there was many M. pauciflora growing with both pink and orange flowers.  Although I used to see it every day, I thought it was M. pauciflora, and avoided.  But somewhere I feel some differences, so documented it.  Please check below image, both opened and opening flowers are in the same manner. Anyway, we'll have to wait until November to see this plant again.

Kind regards,
Sam Kuzhalanattu.
