Common names: candlebush, candlestick senna, Christmas-candle, empress-candleplant, ringworm senna, ringwormbush, ringwormshrub, seven-golden-candles, seven-golden-candlesticks
Shrub to 2 m tall with 8-14 pairs of large (5-10 cm long) oblong to obovate leaflets, stout spike-like erect racemes; leaves without glands; petals yellow distinctly veined, 2 cm long; stamens 6-7 dehiscing by apical pores; fruit up to 15 cm long, flat, winged.
