This is a different variety. In this specimen, the flowers are lax as seen in the first picture and as Manu identified, it is
Gomphostemma heyneanum var.
rottleri and the one that were uploaded by Yazdi Ji and myself is
Gomphostemma heyneanum var.
heyneanum. But as far as I know this variety has been recorded from further south (Idukki and Thrissur) according to Sasidharan, 2004. Further, the habitat of this variety has been recorded as Moist deciduous and semi evergreen.
