Name of Species: Leucas aspera (Leucas plukenetii)
Common Name: Tamba (marathi), Common Leucas (English) & Chota halkkusa (Hindi)
Family: Labiatae
Conservation status: Dovumented in Koyna WLS by state FD, leaves are
used in traditional medicines by tribes.

Location: Purendar Fort, Near Satara

Description: An erect, slender, fragrant annual herb, which is seen
commonly in harvested fields and on roadsides. Flowers between
July to November.

I think it is not L. aspera it is Lucas longifolia pls check

When I checked the Latin meanings I found that
aspera means rough
longifolia means long leaf.
Accordingly the names of the species described appear self explanatory at least in this case.

Yes satish ji
Most specific epithets have some meaning attanched to them:
nigra (nigrum, nigrus) is black (any part of the plant)
alba (album, albus) is white
sativa (sativum, sativus) is a field crop
repens is creeping
flava (flavum, flavus) is yellow
juncea (junceum, junceus) is brown 
and so on
