You likely saw a McAfee alert because my email uses HTML to display images hosted on iNaturalist. I earnestly apologize. Security filters often flag this behavior because it involves fetching data from an external server.
You can safely ignore the warning. iNaturalist is a trusted platform, and I use this method simply to keep the email size small and avoid the manual work of resizing and re-uploading photos. The code is completely safe.
In the future, I plan to test a different way of embedding these images directly through Gmail. This should help prevent McAfee from flagging my messages so you won't have to deal with these alerts moving forward.
