Dozens Red colored shield bugs (Cantao ocellata)  feast on the fruits of this  tree. 
 
Habitat: Trees, Banks of river Cauvery
Place: Katte ho`le (river), Mysore dist.
No. found: 60-80.

is it Trewia nudiflora, a riverine tree along canals and rivers in
srirangapattana, nanjanagudu. Leafless in febraury.
