Nymphaea sp. from Hooghly

Sir,

This another common aquatic plant in ponds and marshes, specially during this rainy season. ID keys available in Flora of Pakistan and in Flora of China tell me that this species is Nymphaea pubescens Willd.

Species : Nymphaea pubescens Willd. (Nymphaea lotus var. pubescens (WIld,) Hook. f. & Thoms.)
Bengali name : SHALOOK / SHAPLA / BHET
Habit & Habitat : aquatic herb, the flowers remain closed in late morning
Date : 18/8/12, 2.27 P.M.
Place : Hooghly

Attaching an old picture, recorded on the 20th Nov., 2009, of a Nymphaea that appears to be same species -  Nymphaea pubescens Willd.
