Crataeva tapia L. ( syn. Crataeva roxburghii Br.) Have seen this beautiful tree flowering since last couple of months in Mumbai, although all books  I refer to have mentioned the flowering period as March to May !. These blooms and fruiting were seen in Mumbai this week,  I have followed Dr. Almeida' s classification, there may be several synonyms and so on in other classifications.

Thanks for sharing good snaps.

A similar variety Crataeva adansonii flowers twice in a year. For last
two years I am regularly observing this. The first flowering period is
Mar- Apr and second time the flowers appear during Oct-Nov.
