Hi, Shareef ji,

Is the inflorescence axillary or terminal ? Do you have an image showing that ?

Ardisia humilis Vahl have distribution in Bangladesha and Mynamar as per Catalogue of life and east Himalayas as per POWO;

As per keys in Flora of China, Difference appears to be based on inflorescence.

For Ardisia humilis Vahl, Inflorescences terminal, rarely terminating lateral branchlets, subumbellate or cymose in pyramidal panicles, 8-17(-20) cm (FoC illustration).

For Ardisia elliptica Thunberg (syn: Ardisia solanacea (Poir.) Roxb.), Inflorescences axillary or subterminal on basally thickened lateral branches, subumbellate or umbellate.

Pl. clarify.

Most of our observations in efloraofindia have been of Ardisia elliptica, as per details herein.

It is Ardisia elliptica & not Ardisia humilis Vahl (which is generally confused with Ardisia elliptica), as the inflorescence axillary.
