Dear all,
Please identify this fungi found on moist shady river bed on Nilgiris Dist of TN.
Alt: 300 msl
I have completely no idea about this fungi.
Is this called "Dead man's finger" [Xylaria sp.?]

Dear Muthu Ji,
This Fungi is known as Pterula multifida (Chevall.) Fr., 1830 (a coral fungus) from the family Clavariaceae.
