No.2 above seems to be wrong, because of other illustrations - http://www.plantillustrations.org/species.php?id_species=960360

Please also check - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242349619, along with - http://flowers.la.coocan.jp/Asteraceae/Sonchus%20brachyotus.htm (assuming the id is correct).

There is no S. arvensis L. in India.
