Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type-

Wild, common in lawns

Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb-  

Perennial herb, mat forming, trailing by runners

Height/Length-

up to 25  cm tall in flower

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size-

Leaves linear, with a distinct basal sheath

Inflorescence Type/ Size-

Spike of spikelets, spikes digitate, 3-4

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts-

florets small, green, tinged brown

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds-

Caryopsis

Other Information like Fragrance, Pollinator, Uses etc.-
