Hello Tamil-knowing friends, does நாரிக்கண்டல் ( nari-k-kantal ) make sense as a name for Aegiceras corniculatam ?

Aegiceras corniculatum is a halophyte, a mangrove plant. in Bengali
known as Khalsi. It shows vivipary, germinating seeds still attached
to the mother plant, giving an appearance of claws, /finger/ nails.
Any clue what Nari-k-kantal means in Tamil?
