Appears to be Semecarpus anacardium from Anacardiaceae.
Bibba(Marathi) Marking nut.

Although it has been posted many times, it doesn't go in the head untill you photograph yourself & try to identify.

The fruit is poisonous and I remember studying it in forensic medicine.
 
However I would like to know from others if there are other uses of the fruit.
