a Bumble-bee collecting nectar from the flowers of Calotropis.
Pic taken near my house in Kolkata.

To my knowledge, Carpenter bees may feed on nectar but they collect
pollens to pack up their egg. May be for cushion and also as food for
their larvae.
This was just for information.
