Uploading Artemisia stelleriana, cultivated in Delhi
Common names: Dusty Miller, Old Woman, Beach Wormwood, Hoary mugwort

I don't know the situation about other warmer parts of India, but if you purchase Lavander in Delhi and surrounding places, this is what you get. Many may not know (if they have not seen lavander) and others will discover, when this plant comes to flower, although lobed leaves of this are quite distinct from simple linear leaves of Lavandula officinalis. I have seen growing lavander in Kashmir University Botanical Garden (35 years back) and photographed it last year in California. I will upload it separately. Lavander from Lamiaceae and this one from Asteraceae, a long distance, but this is the way we are taken for a ride.
