Looks different from Hypericum petiolulatum Hook.f. & Thomson ex Dyer as per keys from Flora of China: Leaves with petiole 1-10 mm, base usually cuneate to angustate; sepals with few irregularly spaced marginal glands or none; styles 1-2.5 mm, 0.7-1.3 × as long as ovary.
