Calophyllum inophyllum मराठी: उंडी
Observed on the edges of sea coast.
A native evergreen tree from Family :Clusiaceae.
The wood is very useful in construction of boats.The oil obtained from the seeds is medicinal as well as used as fuel.

Of course yes, in Chennai. It is a common tree in Tamil Nadu. This
has lot of medicinal properties. This is one of the sacred trees
too in Tamilnadu and found inside the Mylapore Kapaleshwarar temple
premises.
