Dear Members,

I have seen some pictures and discussions on Eflora about Parkia trees. My confusion is whether Parkia biglandulosa and Parkia biglobosa are the same. If not how can one differentiate?

Also are the seeds of both types edible?

Thank you,

Devi.

Yes, both are different as per
http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/11480086/synonym/11747822

We do not have the above species so far in efi site as per https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/f/fabaceae/parkia

Thank you.

I had picked up some seeds from the roadside in Bangalore but wasn’t sure which variety it belonged to. Will have to wait for it to flower, I guess.
