Dear friends,
Sharing a Syzygium sp from Southern Goa for identification.
I thought Syzygium caryophyllatum but it seems like a bigger tree and leaves appear different/ larger thanS. caryophyllatum.

Location- Forest area Canacona, South Goa
Habit-Wild Tree, height 7-8 m approximate
Photographed - April 2023
Flowering with lots of bees on it.

Please confirm which Syzygium sp it is.

Thanks

Maybe
https://efloraofindia.com/2011/04/01/syzygium-cumini/ only, which is quite wide spread and variable.

Thanks, Neha ji,
Why do you say that it is not S cumini, quite a wide spread and a variable species?

Garg ji, the tree I observed looked different from S cumini. We observe S. cumini very often and we do identify it with leaves. But this tree had a different appearance.
That's why I was inclined to ask, "Could that be some other Syzgium?

Thanks, Neha ji.
If you check the flower buds of various species at
https://efloraofindia.com/2011/04/01/syzygium-cumini/
You will see that it only matches well with S cumini.

Garg Ji,
Could that Syzygium species be Syzygium salicifolium?
Flower matches with S.  salicifolium
