Hi All
Please identify this fruit. Unfortunately only unripe fruit is shown here. Ripe fruits seem to be red. The fruit is edible. My friend who took the photo says it may be memecylon. Photo was taken  in April 2013 in a jungle in dry part of Eastern Sri Lanka.

It may be a Calophyllum sp.
