Saw the fruiting and flowering of  what appears to be  Trichosanthes dioica -parvar . Hope ID is correct. The creeper was seen at a private garden in Mumbai on 19 June 10.

Did you know that the root of Trichosanthes dioica is highly poisonous where the leaves are medicinal hence its a "Mandrake"

Thanks for the medicinal information Tanay ji. As for the Sabji , I thought this is more a 'Bengal' sabji, you would make it better than most !!
