Hello friends,

Here are 2 photos of a flower (longshot and closeup)
I found it at about 500-750 ft in Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Panvel, Maharashtra on Oct 25, 2008.

I have got to know that it belongs to Zingiber species from my friend Tabish of http://www.flowersofindia.net/ based on Zingiber chrysanthum :: http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Golden%20Flowered%20Ginger.html

ID please.
Regards.

And of course, thanks for clearing the misunderstanding of believing it to be a flower.
