Hello,

This delicate plant was seen at a height of 2500 mtrs. The flower was
about 1 cm in length, the leaves were about 1- 1.5 cms in length and
the entire plant was hairy. Please help in identification.

May be Campanula colorata, though flower colour is darker.

Gurcharan ji,
As you point out, Campanula colorata (current name Campanula
pallida) has pale flowers. We have it here:
http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Pale%20Bellflower.html
We have a flower, probably the same as posted by Nudrat ji, which we
have identified as Campanula dimorphantha
http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Purple%20Bellflower.html
however, I have never been sure of this identification, and have not
been able to verify it. Would like to have your opinion on it.

Tabish ji
You may be right. The two species are closely related and in fact Collet Flora Simlensis included C. canescens as synonym of C. colorata. Your present status of this plant is correct. Only please add ii to Campanula bentham in Flowers of India website.
    Thanks for your information.
