Dear All,

This commonly planted grassy herb was shot from my college garden..wanted to confirm the species..is this Bassia scoparia Syn. Kochia scoparia ?

Good morning

I do not know this plant and Bengal Plants doesn't feature it. But, FoC tells me that it is Kochia scoparia (L.) Schrad. (syn./accepted name Bassia scoparia (L.) A.J.Scott), as has been identified by Nidhan Sir.

F. B. I. mentions its distribution in North-West India.

I thank Nidhan Sir for introducing me to a new plant.
