After seeing the blooming Aerva persica by Devendraji Bhardwaj today,
I am also posting an image I made on 19 Mar 09
near Bhindawas Sanctuary, Jhajjar, Haryana.
 
Devendra ji has also confirmed the ID.

I think Aerva javanica var. bovei Webb as per images herein.
