Excellent photographs. I think B.vahlii is a climber. All the sepcies reported by you are ornamental. There are many other species of Bauhinia in South India - mostly wild : B.foveolata, B.malabarica, B.semla (syn.B.retusa).. There are also other ornamental species like B.tomentosa,B.monandra, B.galpinii, B.phoenicea (a climber with ornamental brick-red flowers ). The last one has been reported from Shirdi ghats.

All these species are found in the forest of M.P.
But the B. blakeana my be an ornamental in this area
I have not noticed it in forest area

Yes it is a garden variety which is developed from an isolated tree found in Hong Kong. It is also the national flower of Hong kong.
