This is I think Berberis angulosa Wall. ex Hook. f. & Thomson.

Thanks for sharing these photos, this reminds me my trip to that area in 2007. Attached are the images of Berberis angulosa I collected from Sandakphu area (Nepal side:  Sidin, Prangbung).
