Please confirm if this is Clerodendrum inerme? It was growing near mangroves in Uran, across the harbour from Mumbai city. Like the Sea Holly, Acanthus ilicifolius it is also associated with mangroves.

Indeed it is Clerodendrum inerme.    It is an ornamental plant mostly used for hedges.    It is not browsed by the bovines.   One can also shape the plant (shrub).
