i would like to know the scientific name of Kora grass from kerela
and tamilnadu which is used to make mats and sikki grass which is used
to make craft items in Madhubani and sitamari area of Bihar and
eastern uttar pradesh.

Kora grass is a corrupted form of Korai, a word that denotes all sedges.
Korai that is used for plaiting mats comes from three species;
Cyperus pangorei  -- the specific epithet is a modified form of paikorai meaning matsedge.
