One of the largest living teak trees - Kannimara Teak
The Kannimara teak that has lived on this planet for more than 450 years is the star attraction in the Parambikulam sanctuary, Kerala. Towering over all other trees nearby in the forest, it presents a splendid sight and it took almost five of us to span the tree’s breadth.
This tree is one of the biggest natural teak trees in the world and was awarded 'The MahaVriksha Puraskar" by Govt. of India in 1994-95.
