This particular plnat was seen growing at an altitude of about 2100 mtrs. It was a shrub. Plz help with the identification

I think the currently accepted name of Mountain Hydrangea is
Hydrangea macrophylla ssp. serrata

Hydrangea arborescens, which Gurcharan ji pointed out, also has
closely similar flowers. But I think the flowers are all white there.

Hello,

This particular plant was seen growing along the road at an altitude
of about 2000 mtrs. The plant seems to be stalkless, the leaves are
comparatively large and very glossy and the inflorescence seems to be
a spike.
