Tinospora cordifolia (Willd.) Miers ex Hook. f. & Thoms., Amrutha valli,(Geloy) stem is used to extract starch, it is a Immunostimulant, anti viral drug used in obstructive jaundice and to control Herpes simplex virus. Producing aerial root is a characteristic feature of T. cordifolia, large quantity of dry stem pieces are consumed in the pharmaceutical industry.
