Botanical name: Uvaria rufa (Dunal) Blume (Annonaceae)

Location: North Andaman Island

Habit: Trees, 5 - 8 m high.

Habitat: Fairly common in inland forests.

Distribution: India (Andaman and Nicobar Islands) - widespread from China and South-East Asia, through Malesia to Northern Australia.
