Lianas or huge climbers.
Western ghats are known for these.
Phansad has amazing collection of many of these.
The species which we all(Dinesh ji, Prashant ji, Ushaprabha ji,Shrikant ji and My friend Dr Parag Mahajan)
observed in Phansad on 20th March2011 included
Entada rheedi
Combretum extensum
Caesalpinia cucullata
Diploclisia glaucescens
Gnetum scandens
Hiptage benghalensis

Sharing some of the views indicating their old age.

Many thanks for the replies.
I would like to clear certain things from my post...
I just want to highlight about the nature of Lianas from the area.
These pictures are from different places from Phansad.
All may not be of the same species.
Entada rheedii is obvious by looking at the pods.
What I want to learn?
Some were having aerial roots.
Some were very thorny.
The leaves of some of them change to black on drying.
Can they give clue to the ID when flowers or leaves are not observed?
Waiting for opinions.
