Malvaviscus arboreus Cav. var. drummondii (Torr. & A. Gray) Schery

Syn: Malvaviscus drummondii Torr. & A. Gray

Common names: Drummond's wax-mallow, Texas mallow, Turk's cap

This shrub is very distinct in broader leaves, often lobed, leaves lighter green and densely hairy, and smaller flowers mostly 2.5-3 cm long.
