I am also feeling the confusion? What is it at your end. At my end, it appears to be the number of pinnae (5-10 pairs) & leaflets 10-25 pairs (in Acacia torta)- both of them more in A. pennata.

As per Shrikant ji's book the number of leaflets are 12-30 pairs in Acacia torta while it's 40-50 pairs in A. pennata.

Looks different from images at Senegalia torta, as the pairs of leaflets are less as per keys herein.
