2022- A year of celebration and reality check

Dear members,

2021 was a year of celebration as eFloraofindia completed 15 years on 17.6.22. It was celebrated in a grand way with wide media coverage, 1st ever eFI summit, printing and distribution of T-shirts, blog, cake, best flora picture competition, best story on eFI competition, wildlife and nature photography exhibition etc. with help from many of you.  

Pankaj Kumar ji was honoured with a title of ‘Jewel’ of eFloraofIndia
and Manoj Chandran ji with a title of ‘Grassman’ of eFloraofIndia. 

Saroj Kasaju ji and Gurcharan Singh ji, both crossed the 35,000 messages mark to come in 2nd and 3rd position. Sam Kuzhalanattu was added as a Moderator of eFI for his outstanding contributions.Thanks to all the top contributors of 2022, who made this year so memorable. 
 

There were more than 17000 users in August'22 itself of efloraofindia.com. This is in addition to the viewership of the old Google site.

In addition, we became quite used to our new Wordpress site efloraofindia.com, with correction in formatings in thousands of pages (disturbed due to migration from old Google site). 

However, there was a reality check for us when we faced many security related issues in the last quarter. To resolve these issues, our existing site was cloned and made live with new security features and easier and better monitoring in the form of Sitelock, positive SSL and C-Panel. Hope such issues do not arrive in future as we become more and more proactive and experienced, in this regard. 

Also comparative images for all families were completed except for Zingiberaceae, Poaceae and Orchidaceae.

Well known national and international Experts and members like Tapas ji, Shantanu ji, Suhaib ji, Mayur ji, Santhosh ji, Balakrishnan ji, Shakir ji, Lalithamba ji, Nidhan ji, Ritesh ji, Alka ji, Seema ji, Chennuru ji, TSP Kumar ji, Fazal ji, Harikrishnan ji, Bharathi ji, Shobha ji, Krishnaraj ji, Sunoj ji, Varun ji, Chris ji, Mark ji, Henderson ji, Ishwari ji, G S Rawat ji, D S Rawat ji, Navendu ji, Lalithamba ji, Pascal ji, Anil ji, Nayan ji, Wood ji, Panda ji, Gogoi ji, Radha ji, Viplav ji, Samiran ji, Vinayaraj ji, Ashutosh ji, Kanhaiya Lal ji, Smita ji, Tabish ji, Santhan ji, Sunoj ji, Milind ji, Jana ji, Nathan ji, Magnus ji, Fu ji, Lalithamba ji, Sampath ji, Manoj ji, Pascal ji, Sivu ji, Rakesh ji, Nagar ji, Vijayasankar ji, Giby ji and many others, continued their activity of either posting plants, or helping in identifying them or both, in a major way.
