Synonyms: Bambos arundinacea Retz. Obs. Bot. 5: 24, 1789.

Common names: Kalak, Kaset, Kashti, Bamboo.

the flowers are in large panicles; where as in DENDROCALAMUS STRICTUS They are in globose heads.
