Chollai?

My friend told me it as Chollai in local name. But I could not find botanical name on net.Could someone advice me for ID?

Place: Dharuhera, Haryana

I think it's Ash Fleabane or Little ironweed (Vernonia cinerea). See from Indiantreepix Database:

On 17/8/08 in Talakona forest, AP near Tirupati;

This links states Cholai to be Amaranthus spinosus: http://mpcpdb.frlht.org.in/Nomenco_HI2Bot.html, which it's not as per link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaranthus_spinosus
