Ajuga bracteosa Wall. ex Benth., Pl. Asiat. Rar. 1: 59. 1830.

Perennial stoloniferous plant; Basal leaves spatulate to oblanceolate, up to 6 cm long on about 1 cm long petioles, villous especially on younger parts; stems up to 30 cm tall with sessile obovate to suborbicular leaves up to 15 mm long, margin irregularly undulate crenate; upper verticillaters forming a spike; calyx with linea-subulate teeth with villous ciliate margins; corolla purplish with slightly exserted tube; stamens somewhat exserted; nutlets oblong-obovoid.
