It is a tree, it is quiet common in the Dry deciduous forests of
Bhandhara, Gondiya, Chandrapur. also in Bihar Forests.

Attaching a picture of the tree in its habitat .....on the outskirts of Pune(Mah).
This was earlier IDed as Semecarpus anacardium but I have checked the fruits for confirmation as Buchnania lanzen. As both trees somewhat look similar.

Yes Sathish sir, I too had difficulties in differentiating S.anacardium and Buchanania lanzan in vegetative phase in the field. Now its quite familiar.
