I guess the ID is correct since one of the university students completing

thesis on this species has also been validated !

As per POWO and Checklist of Nepal, there are many subspecies/ varieties.

Hi, Saroj ji,

Cerastium fontanum Baumg. means Cerastium fontanum subsp. fontanum, which is not reported from Nepal as per POWO and Checklist of Nepal.

As per POWO, the following subspecies are reported:
Cerastium fontanum var. angustifolium (M.Mizush.) H.Hara
Cerastium fontanum subsp. grandiflorum H.Hara

Cerastium fontanum Baumg.

All databases are not fully updated and the http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=106150

is too old, not updated from the beginning. But POWO has it showing distribution in Nepal.
